70-year-old pedestrian battles for life following hit-and-run crash in Etobicoke, Toronto
A 70-year-old pedestrian has been hospital with life threatening injuries after vehicle crashed into bus shelter in Etobicoke and fled from the scene.
The crash took place when the vehicle was driving south on intersection of Martin Grove Road nearing Eglinton Avenue, the driver lost control after trying to make a turn and crashed into a bus shelter that the pedestrian was a passenger around 3:00 p.m.
According to authorities, the pedestrian male pedestrian was transported to a trauma centre through emergency run in critical condition.
However, the driver of the vehicle, a black sedan absconded from the scene following the crash. But the vehicle was found abandoned moments after the crash.
Anyone with information or dashcam video is urged to contact the police.
